With all major project instrumentation in place and operational, S-Pol and TEAM-R radars are observing terrain induced convection in the vicinity of the S-Pol site. The radars are doing intercomparison measurements. Tammy Weckwerth reports reflectivity in the 45-50 dBZ in the cells remaining stationary over the lower terrain to the west of the main mountains.
