During the P-3 topographic mission the ground-based Doppler radars observed two periods of organized convection over northwest Taiwan. During the second event, while the P-3 was flying the topographic pattern, the aircraft collected Doppler radar data in the vicinity of the ground-based Dopplers. Thus, there is about a one-hour period in which triple Doppler radar data is available. After the system dissipated, the aircraft completed its circumnavigation mission.
